This is a new computer, and no other scanner has come anywhere near it. inf file in the folder where the driver is installed. The instructions in the article said to use the update feature, and then look for the. I looked in the CanoScan folder but of course there was no. In any case, there was no driver, so 'updating' it isn't exactly what I'm able to do. So all dates related to it should be within the last couple of days, right? I first plugged in the scanner two days ago, and it immediately said it could not install a driver. I wouldn't even be able to uninstall it.ĭoes anyone have any insight into this? Thanx. I found the scanner in the device manager, but since I can't find the driver anywhere, I'm stumped. The article explained that I have to manually update the driver. Windows flashed a popup asking for permission to install, right over where it said where it would be installed, and when I clicked OK, that other window disappeared. I tried to install it the way described in the article, from the Canon site.īut the folder I got with 7-Zip didn't have the file in it that it said it should, so I tried to just install it directly. I tried to find a work around and came across an article that said the CanoScan Lide 60 driver works. I just realized that Canon didn't update their driver for my CanoScan Lide 50 Scanner for Windows 7 64-bit. Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this.
